Erre GL, et al. – Researchers conducted this meta-analysis to assess the relationship between peripheral blood neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and the presence of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). They collected and analyzed data from 13 NLR studies (patients with RA, n=1,550; healthy control participants, n=1,128) and 8 PLR studies (patients with RA, n=380; healthy control participants, n=305) by searching PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases, from inception to January 2018. Findings suggested a significant association of the NLR and PLR with the presence of RA.
