Wang W, et al. – In this research work, the scientists examined whether human mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSC) had protective effects on leukemic cells undergoing chemotherapy. Their investigations revealed that hMSC contributed to quiescence and therapy resistance of persistent acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells.
