Mental well-being and social support perceptions of nurses working in a Covid-19 pandemic hospital
Perspectives in Psychiatric Care May 28, 2021
Ersin F, et al. - In this cross-sectional study involving 333 nurses, researchers sought to determine the mental well-being and social support perceptions of nurses working in a Covid-19 pandemic hospital. This investigation was carried out in a pandemic hospital in Turkey between July 30, 2020, and August 25, 2020. There was a significant difference between the multidimensional scale of perceived social support family subscale and the nurses' marital and income statuses. The nurses' mental well-being and their perception of social support had a positive, albeit weakly significant, relationship. Protective measures must be strengthened, and social networks must be promoted, in order to improve nurses' mental health and social support.
