Median effective dose of intranasal dexmedetomidine sedation for transthoracic echocardiography examination in postcardiac surgery and normal children: An up-and-down sequential allocation trial

Liu Y, et al. - Researchers performed this study to investigate if postcardiac surgery children require a larger dose of dexmedetomidine (DEX) for transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) than normal children. As per the findings of this study, compared with normal children, postcardiac surgery children required a higher median effective dose of intranasal DEX for TTE sedation.
