Petrakis IL, et al. – A randomized controlled trial was performed with the aim to compare alcohol consumption between mecamylamine and placebo and test if smoking status modified treatment effects. The authors concluded that mecamylamine 10mg pd did not significantly decrease alcohol consumption in treatment seeking smokers and non–smokers with alcohol use disorder.
