Matrix metalloproteinase-14 induces epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in synovial sarcoma
Human Pathology Jun 26, 2018
Liu M, et al. - The role of matrix metalloproteinase-14 (MMP-14) and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT)/mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition (MET) in synovial sarcoma (SS) was investigated. For the purpose of this investigation, the expression of MMP-14 and EMT-related proteins was determined in 37 SS cases and transfected cells by immunohistochemistry staining and Western blotting. By inducing EMT, MMP-14 enhances the invasive ability of SW982 cells and played an important role in the occurrence and development of SS.
