Rios P et al. - In the current study, an association was demonstrated between the household use of pesticides during the antepartum period and neuroblastoma (NB) in offspring.
Methods
The mothers of 357 NB cases and 1783 controls < 6 years were queried by telephone interview.
Results
Maternal use of pesticides during pregnancy was associated with NB in offspring (OR = 1.5).
The most commonly used type of pesticide were insecticides, which were associated with NB alone (OR = 1.4) or in combination with other pesticides (OR 2.0).
