Maternal recurrent pregnancy loss is associated with an increased risk for long-term neurological morbidity in offspring
Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology Aug 03, 2018
Levy DP, et al. - Researchers conducted a population-based cohort analysis including all singletons born between 1991 and 2014 at a single regional tertiary center to ascertain if the long-term neurological health of the offspring is influenced by maternal history of recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Among children of mothers with a history of RPL, hospitalizations for epilepsy and developmental disorders were significantly more common. The data presented in this work showed a history of maternal RPL seems to be independently correlated with the long-term neurological morbidity of the offspring.
