Maternal age at birth and daughter’s fecundability
Human Reproduction Apr 22, 2021
Basso O, Willis SK, Hatch EE, et al. - In this cohort study of North American pregnancy planners, researchers examined fecundability in daughters of older mothers. In this prospective cohort study, a total of 6,689 pregnancy planners were enrolled between March 2016 and January 2020. This is an ongoing pre-conception cohort study, Pregnancy Study Online (PRESTO), of pregnancy planners (age, 21-45 years) from the USA and Canada. Multivariable proportional probabilities regression models were used to measure Fecundability ratios (FR) for maternal age at the participant’s birth. In this cohort study of North American pregnancy planners, virtually no correlation was identified between maternal age ≥ 35 years and daughters’ fecundability.
