Marked exercise-induced T-wave heterogeneity in symptomatic diabetic patients with nonflow-limiting coronary artery stenosis
Annals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology Sep 30, 2017
Stocco FG, et al. - In this study, symptomatic diabetic patients with nonflow-limiting coronary artery stenosis were compared with control subjects without diabetes in terms of T-wave heterogeneity (TWH) during exercise tolerance testing (ETT). Findings revealed that TWH allowed identification of latent repolarization abnormalities, which were present during ETT in diabetic patients with nonflow-limiting stenosis but not in control subjects. Furthermore, this study provided the technique that allows TWH analysis from archived ECGs and thereby enables mining of extensive databases for retrospective studies and hypothesis testing.
