Marijuana use and estimated glomerular filtration rate in young adults
Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology Sep 01, 2017
Ishida JH, et al. – A research was conducted to illustrate marijuana use and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in young adults. A modest cross–sectional association between higher marijuana exposure and lower eGFR by cystatin C (eGFRcys) among young adults with preserved eGFR was observed. However, these outcomes were largely null and did not demonstrate a longitudinal association between marijuana use and eGFRcys change, rapid eGFRcys decline, or prevalent albuminuria.
