Ludwig WW, et al. - Herein, the authors inspected the utility of a handheld optical coherence tomography (OCT) probe for the analysis of intraoperative surgical margins during partial nephrectomy (PN). This study revealed the feasibility of using a handheld OCT probe during PN. The necessity for intraoperative frozen section could be reduced via OCT and it could aid in minimizing parenchymal excision.
