Management of persistent juvenile angiofibroma after endoscopic resection: Analysis of a single institution series of 74 patients
Head & Neck Apr 20, 2019
Schreiber A, et al. - A total of 74 candidates were quantified to study the outcome of management of persistent juvenile angiofibroma (pJA) following endoscopic resection for a Mean follow-up of 113 months (6-266 months). They reported the evolution of pJA in 6 cases. They observed a significant decrease in residual lesion size in 3 cases whereas 2 lesions did not display variations in size. They noticed significant growth in 1 case of intentional pJA, with the diameter increasing by 2.2 mm/yr. pJAs seemed to have had the tendency to regress spontaneously or remain stable.
