Management and prognosis of low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms: A clinicopathologic analysis of 50 cases
European Journal of Surgical Oncology Aug 03, 2018
Li X, et al. - Researchers investigated the clinical and pathologic features and management of low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (LAMN) via retrospectively studying consecutive patients with LAMN who underwent surgery by a surgical team at the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University between 2005 and 2016. The presenting age of patients with LAMN was almost 60 years (56.7) and there appeared no clear gender predilection. Via performing surgical treatment with resection of the primary site in early-stage disease or with pushing invasion, the excellent prognosis could be achieved and no necessity for expanded surgical procedures was observed.
