Rouhi M, et al. - This research intended to probe the prevalence of antenatal depression and the proposition that maternal perception of a family's male child preference was an independent risk factor for depression. Based on the findings, it was deduced that it was crucial for the health care providers to regard male child preference as an independent risk factor for the prevention of depression.
