Magnetic resonance and computed tomography image fusion technology in patients with Parkinson's disease after deep brain stimulation

Xia J, et al. – The aim of this retrospective study was to examine image fusion technology for displaying the position of the electrodes compared with postoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The results showed that position of the electrodes was correlated between the fusion and MRI images. The findings suggested that computed tomography (CT)–MRI fusion images could be used to avoid the potential risks of MRI.
