MAGGIC and STS risk scores are equivalent predictors of mortality following valvular heart surgery

Zhuo DX, et al. – The Meta-Analysis Global Group in Chronic Heart Failure (MAGGIC) risk score was compared with the established Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) risk score in terms of predicting mortality after valvular heart surgery. Findings demonstrated that in valvular heart surgery patients, both MAGGIC and STS risk scores exhibited equal efficacy as mortality predictors.
