Macroscopic serosal invasion and small tumor size as independent prognostic factors in stage IIA colon cancer

International Journal of Colorectal Disease Jul 23, 2018

Lee SY, et al. - Researchers examined the prognostic factors of patients with stage IIA (T3N0M0) colon cancer in terms of macroscopic serosal invasion and small tumor size by analyzing data of 375 stage IIA colon cancer patients who had curative resection between January 2004 and December 2011. They analyzed the clinicopathologic characteristics to identify independent prognostic factors. Macroscopic serosal invasion and tumor size < 5 cm were discovered as novel prognostic factors of stage IIA colon cancer.
