Munoz-Gomez P, et al. - The experts undertook this study to assess whether the previous intake of macrolides associated with failure to eradicate H. pylori using 2 different first-line clarithromycin-containing regimens. Findings revealed that previous use of macrolides associated with a low H. pylori eradication rate with triple and concomitant clarithromycin-containing regimens. Furthermore, the outcomes demonstrated that triple therapy achieved per-protocol eradication rates over 90% in patients without the previous use of macrolides.
