International Urology and Nephrology Jan 10, 2018
Maruf M, et al. - Researchers, herein, used the surveillance epidemiology and end results (SEER) database to define the lymph node yield (LNY) in patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC) for bladder cancer (BC) following radiation of the bladder. As per the findings, a lymph node dissection (LND) was performed in a lower proportion of patients with a history of radiation. No statistical difference was noted in LNYs between radiation naïve patients and those with a history of radiation; however, the proportion of irradiated patients was small.
