Marina LV, et al. - In this present study, researchers investigated whether the association between luteinizing hormone (LH) and insulin could play a role in adrenal tumourigenesis and steroidogenesis. A cause-effect relationship possibly existed between LH and insulin in patients with adrenal incidentalomas (AI) and (possible) autonomous cortisol secretion [(P)ACS] adding to the body of evidence of their involvement in adrenal tumourigenesis and steroidogenesis.
