Aguirre-Bermeo H, et al. - The variation in lung volumes and positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP)-induced lung volume recruitment with the change from supine position (SP) to prone position (PP) in acute respiratory distress syndrome patients (ARDS) was analyzed. Findings demonstrated that prone position, relative to supine position, increased resting lung volumes and decreased dynamic lung strain.
