Lung ultrasound in internal medicine efficiently drives the management of patients with heart failure and speeds up the discharge time
Internal and Emergency Medicine Aug 19, 2017
Mozzini C, et al. – This research ascertained if lung ultrasound (LUS): (1) could accelerate the discharge time; (2) could efficiently drive diuretic therapy dosage; and (3) possibly displayed a better performance compared to the amino–terminal portion of B type natriuretic peptide, in heart failure (HF) patients. The findings affirmed the potential of LUS in tailoring diuretic therapy and accelerating the discharge time. It was plausible that LUS would evolve with different facets, until the technique was brought into common use in different departments.
