Thunqvist P, et al. - The goal of this paper was to investigate the lung function and airway mechanics in school-aged children, born in 2004 to 2007 and extremely preterm (after 22-26 weeks of gestation). The findings disclosed that several children born extremely preterm presented with altered airway mechanics and prominent obstructive reduction in lung function. This data required consideration for treatment and continued follow-up.
