Cirillo M, et al. - Low protein intake, mortality, and kidney function decline were investigated in a population-based study. Low protein intake was identified as a predictor of higher mortality in the whole population, while it predicted lower incidence of estimated glomerular filtration rate decline only in subgroup with reduced kidney function.
