Low molecular weight heparin and aspirin exacerbate human endometrial endothelial cell responses to antiphospholipid antibodies

American Journal of Reproductive Immunology Nov 22, 2017

Quao ZC, et al. - The goal of this research comprised the characterization of the impact of antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) on human endometrial endothelial cells (HEECs), and determination of the effect of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) or aspirin (ASA). A possible contribution of uterine endothelium to impaired placentation and vascular transformation, via aPL inhibiting HEEC chemokine secretion and promoting sFlt-1 release, was suggested in this study. In addition, data indicated that LMWH and ASA may further contribute to endothelium dysfunction in women with obstetric APS.
