Low expression of long noncoding RNA CTC-297N7.9 predicts poor prognosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma
Cancer Medicine Nov 11, 2019
Zhu S, Huang X, Zhang K, et al. - Since long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) were reported to play significant roles in tumorigenesis of various malignant tumors, researchers sought to analyze the clinical significance of aberrant lncRNA expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). They collected HCC tissues and adjacent normal tissues from 60 HCC individuals who had had hepatectomy in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital between 2015 and 2017. Large numbers of lncRNAs with abnormal expression in HCC were distinguished through the differentially expressed lncRNAs analysis by R. Findings suggested an association of low expression of CTC-297N7.9 with poor prognosis in HCC patients, indicating its possible role as a potential prognostic marker for HCC.
