Maeta A, et al. - Herein, researchers assessed the safety and efficacy of low-egg-allergen cookies (LAC) as low-dose oral immunotherapy (OIT) in children with severe egg allergy and studied the link between mild desensitization by low-dose OIT and serum biomarkers of allergy. For treating patients with severe egg allergy, low-dose OIT using LAC was shown to be an effective and safe option in this study.
