Leinonen E, et al. - In this present study, researchers assessed relationships between low Apgar scores at 1 and 5 minutes and long-term neurological impairments. They found an association of low 1-minute and 5-minute Apgar scores with long-term neurological morbidity. This was particularly observed when both scores were low.
