Thyssen JP, et al. – The correlation between filaggrin gene (FLG) mutation status and the occurrence of malignant melanoma (MM) was evaluated during this study, in Danish adults. No association was determined among both in the study cohort. The epidermal deficiency of filaggrin and its degradation products did not exert any impact on the risk of MM significantly.
