Longitudinal change in proteinuria and kidney outcomes in C3 glomerulopathy
Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation Apr 01, 2021
Caravaca-Fontán F, Díaz-Encarnación M, Cabello V, et al. - Researchers undertook this retrospective, multicenter observational cohort study to determine the link between the longitudinal change in proteinuria and renal failure risk among patients diagnosed with C3 glomerulopathy. This study sample comprised 85 cases, 70 C3 glomerulonephritis and 15 dense deposit disease. A median follow-up of 42 months was conducted. Findings demonstrated a strong association between longitudinal change in proteinuria and renal failure risk. A dynamic prediction of renal outcomes can be offered by change in proteinuria over time.
