Diabetes Care Sep 13, 2017
Jin C, et al. - In this prospective cohort study, the researchers intended to measure the change in fasting blood glucose (FBG) during repeated assessments over time and its potential influence on the risk of developing myocardial infarction (MI). They discovered that discrete FBG trajectories were significantly related to subsequent risk of MI in people without diabetes. Long-term trajectories of FBG could be important for risk prediction of MI and possibly other macrovascular diseases.
