American Journal of Ophthalmology Feb 26, 2018
Wan MJ, et al. - During this study, the long-term surgical outcomes for large-angle, infantile esotropia was assessed by the researchers among children. Results suggested a poor overall success rate for the treatment of large-angle, infantile esotropia, with most failures due to recurrent or residual esotropia. At the final follow-up, botulinum toxin-augmented surgery was noted to be related to a higher success rate.
