The Laryngoscope Dec 24, 2018
Riley CA, et al. - Authors analyzed 46 cases to evaluate the long-term sinonasal consequences after endoscopic skull base surgery with nasoseptal flap (NSF) reconstruction. They observed younger cases with a greater degree of deterioration but an overall improvement in the long-term sinonasal quality of life in most people following NSF use for endoscopic anterior skull base surgery (EASB). They also recorded increased sinus opacification on imaging and low incidence of reoperation for indicative mucocele formation.
