The Laryngoscope Apr 25, 2019
CA, et al. - Researchers evaluated 46 individuals to study the long-term sinonasal results following endoscopic skull base surgery (EASB) with nasoseptal flap (NSF) reconstruction. They observed a higher incidence of deterioration in younger candidates. Although overall improvement was reported in the long-term sinonasal quality of life in most of the cases after NSF use for EASB. They generally recorded an increase in sinus opacification on imaging and might demand continued follow-up and management. Low incidence of reoperation for symptomatic mucocele formation was also noticed.
