Long-term results of ventral penile curvature repair in childhood
Urology Oct 31, 2017
Golomb D, et al. - The target of this study was to figure out the post-pubertal outcome of ventral penile curvature repaired in infancy, with regard to the recurrence and aesthetics. Frequent recurrence was reported after puberty of the ventral penile curvature, that was repaired in infancy. The requirement of dorsal plication displayed a trend-level association with the recurrence of penile curvature in puberty. It could be associated with the degree of post-pubertal penile curvature and the necessity for redo urethroplasty. Procedure type did not exert an impact on the patient satisfaction with the post-pubertal appearance of the penis.
