Vural A, et al. - Researchers sought to assess the long-term protective effect of N-acetylcysteine (NAC), an antioxidant agent, against aminoglycoside (AG)-induced ototoxicity in end-stage renal disease. They found that NAC, a potent anti-inflamatory drug, may be otoprotective, but that the impact was not long-lasting.
