Waissbluth S, et al. - In pediatric patients, authors assessed the long-term effect of platinum chemotherapy on hearing as well as its progression. According to the findings, hearing loss induced by the platinum could be progressive and debilitating among children. For these patients, a long term audiometric follow-up of at least 10 years was suggested.
