Lee S, et al. - The purpose of this investigation was to compare long-term outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and surgery for early gastric cancer (EGC) in the expanded indication based on each criterion. Findings indicated that for EGCs meeting expanded indications, including undifferentiated-type tumors, ESD may be an alternative treatment option to surgery.
