American Journal of Ophthalmology Feb 20, 2018
Kokame GT, et al. - Researchers analyzed the long-term stability of sutured scleral-fixated posterior chamber intraocular lenses (PC IOL) performed along with pars plana vitrectomy. An excellent long-term fixation of PC IOLs was provided by the scleral fixation sutures with 10-0 polypropylene depicting a less than 0.5% incidence of suture breakage. Results documented suture stability for up to over 24 years.
