Vinay K, et al. - This investigation was planned to examine the long-term mucocutaneous adverse effects of imatinib and factors predicting these adverse effects. In Indian patients, common long-term adverse effects of imatinib were cutaneous hyperpigmentation and periorbital edema. For the development of both these adverse effects, female gender was found to be a significant risk factor.
