Long-term follow-up of intratympanic methylprednisolone vs gentamicin in patients with unilateral Meniere's disease
Otology & Neurotology Mar 24, 2019
Harcourt JP, et al. - Authors estimated 60 candidates to evaluate the long-term efficacy of intratympanic methylprednisolone vs gentamicin in unilateral Meniere's disease cases. They observed a reduction in vertigo attacks in the 6 months by 95% as compared to baseline in both the drug groups. They noted no significant difference between drugs for primary and secondary outcomes as well. They reported the necessity of injections in 8 candidates (methylprednisolone=5 and gentamicin=3) for relapse. Overall, they suggested comparable consequences of both the medicines.
