Long-term follow-up in patients treated by stent implantation for post-ablation pulmonary vein stenosis
Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology Apr 25, 2018
Iversen E, et al. - Researchers describe the long-term clinical outcome of patients who were treated with stent implantation for pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS) after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF). Mean time from ablation to stenting was 18 months. All patients underwent pre-procedural imaging (CT, MR, transesophageal echocardiography, angiography). Stent implantation offered durable results, good clinical outcome and successful treatment of symptomatic PVS after AF ablation. AF ablation was still acknowledged as a feasible option after stent deployment.
