Schiav MC, et al. - The effectiveness of modified McCall culdoplasty or Shull suspension in preventing vaginal vault prolapse after vaginal hysterectomy was investigated. Researchers also investigated its long-term impact on quality of life and sexual function. In women who underwent vaginal hysterectomy, both surgical techniques were effective and safe in preventing vaginal vault prolapse, and resulted in a significant improvement in quality of life and sexuality. Shull technique was observed to provide greater improvement in sexual function.
