European Neurology Apr 11, 2021
Uzunköprü C, Beckmann Y, Türe S., et al. - In patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), this study was undertaken to investigate the long-term efficacy of fingolimod. Researchers further described the safety of fingolimod with the evaluation of treatment satisfaction and impact on the quality of life in real life. Clinical, demographical, neuroradiological, and treatment data were obtained, including pre-and post-treatment status health-related quality of life from 286 MS patients consecutively treated with fingolimod, including 114 males and 172 females. The data exhibited that fingolimod treatment was correlated with decreased relapse, MRI activity, and improved EDSS and MSQOLI scores. As per the findings, fingolimod has been able to maintain its efficacy over a considerable long period of treatment.
