Pajamaki N, et al. - In this present study, the clinicians assessed long-term cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients treated for differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). Moreover, they evaluated the effect of TSH suppression and radioiodine (RAI) treatment on the cardiovascular outcome. An increased cardiovascular diseases (CVD) morbidity was observed in DTC patients, which was mostly accountable to atrial fibrillation, and to TSH suppression below 0.1 mU/l.
