Marzouk K, et al. - Experts reported the long-term cancer-specific anxiety for men on active surveillance for prostate cancer to ascertain whether interventions need to be customized to improve adherence. A moderate risk of cancer-specific anxiety that significantly decreases over time was seen in men undergoing active surveillance. Regarding conservative management, it was noted that some anxiety was common initially, but most patients rapidly adjust and report low levels of anxiety within 2 years.
