Long-term analysis of surgical treatment outcomes in chronic pilonidal sinus disease

Mutus HM, et al. - Researchers here evaluated the outcome in adolescents surgically treated for pilonidal sinus disease (PSD) in a single clinic. They found that classical midline incision and primary closure approach for surgical treatment of PSD in adolescents has similar results to adults. Reduction in recurrences was observed with postoperative hair removal.
