Local control in sinonasal malignant melanoma: Comparing conventional to hypofractionated radiotherapy

Head & Neck Oct 19, 2017

Lansu J, et al. - The upshot of fractionation schedule on the local control in postoperative radiotherapy (RT) underwent exploratory assessment for sinonasal malignant melanoma. There did not appear to be any effect of the radiotherapy fractionation schedule on the local control rate or the incidence of late toxicity in the study cohort. Strong recommendations could not be put forth as a result of this retrospective nature and the limited number of patients. It was suggested that the expected toxicity, patient convenience, and workload could be regarded for the choice of fractionation schedule until the availability of conclusive evidence.
