LncRNA SNHG14 regulates the DDP-resistance of non-small cell lung cancer cell through miR-133a/HOXB13 pathway
BMC Pulmonary Medicine Oct 21, 2020
Xu L, Xu Y, Yang M, et al. - In view of recent reports describing the involvement of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in regulating chemo-resistance of NSCLC, researchers here examined the role of lncRNA SNHG14 in the DDP-resistance of NSCLC. Using qRT-PCR, DDP-resistant A549 (A549/DDP) cell and its parental cell A549 were assessed for the relative expression of SNHG14, HOXB13 and miR-133a. A549/DDP cell line showed upregulation of LncRNA SNHG14 and HOXB13 while there was downregulation of miR-133a vs the A549 cell line. A549/DDP cell showed an increase in DDP-sensitivity in correlation with SNHG14 knockdown and miR-133a overexpression. Through miR-133a/HOXB13 axis, SNHG14 seemed to be involved in the development of DDP-resistance of A549/DDP cells, which for DDP resistance of NSCLC, may present a path to novel therapeutic stratagems.
